I have some very historical data on wealth measured by estate duties. Is it possible to get similar currently?

Is it possible to compare the level of progressive ness against the rest of the EU?

Michael Taft

Simon - not as easy as it sounds. It would be great to get the full cross-country income distribution for income and taxes. Unfortunately, Eurostat charges €500 for the set. Still, I will keep a look-out for such figures. You might find this link, courtesy of a long-time reader of this blog, James. It tells an interesting story about progressive tax and redistribution. http://lanekenworthy.net/2009/04/17/reducing-inequality-how-to-pay-for-it/
